About the Job
Our client in Watertown, MA is seeking a hybrid Direct Hire Systems Engineering Manager. The Systems Engineering Manager will work directly with Senior Leadership and be responsible for, but not limited to: overall ownership of our client's systems architecture; providing daily direction and leadership to the Systems Engineering team; providing hands on technical expertise for the implementation, configuration, and maintenance of our client's infrastructure and applications; defining, implementing, and managing best practices, policies, and procedures; and determining and managing appropriate 3rd party vendors. To be considered, you must have:
- Strong knowledge of engineering systems principles, methodologies, and best practices.
- Experience in developing and maintaining Enterprise wide Infrastructure architecture, systems, standards, and budgets.
- Experience with a combination of the following: 0365, SharePoint, MS SQL Server, Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, iSCSI, VMware, VSwitch, Windows Deployment Services, Windows Failover Clustering. virtual architecture, fileservers, workstations, routers, switches, disaster recovery, firewalls, NIST standards, SIEM, disaster recovery, network engineering, firewalls, virtualization, and vulnerability assessment / testing, and remediation of network, systems, and applications
- Demonstrated ability to lead, organize, and manage multiple projects simultaneously with the ability to pivot and prioritize to the needs of the business.
- Strong leadership and team building experience with the mindset of acting as a player / coach. This is a hands on technical position with leadership / team management responsibilities as well.
- Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills throughout the entire organization, up to and including the C-Suite.
- Bachelor's degree required.
Nice to have:
- Healthcare industry experience with knowledge of EHR / EMR database structure
- Master's Degree or equivalent professional experience
