The Systems Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining an organization's IT systems. This role involves planning and engineering the network infrastructure, including both hardware and software. Systems Engineers ensure the efficient operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of network hardware, applications, and services. They also contribute to strategies for virtualization, server and networking, business continuity, and security.
Essential Functions/Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain the network stack at locations, including routers, switches, wireless access points, and security appliances.
- Collaborate with third-party vendors to provide on-site support and ensure timely resolution of network issues.
- Design, implement, and optimize network infrastructure to meet business requirements.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability and reliability.
- Develop and maintain network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and procedures.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest networking technologies and industry trends.
- Provide technical support and guidance to other IT team members.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards.
- Manage and maintain phone systems, ensuring seamless communication across the organization.
- Handle escalated tickets from the help desk, providing timely and effective resolutions.
- Assists with other duties as directed by supervisor.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science/information technology required or equivalent work related experience.
Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of relevant IT infrastructure experience.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in client and end user systems preferably with Microsoft Windows Server/Client family of operating systems.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in networking and wireless technologies.
- Minimum 3 years of experience with Microsoft Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and group policy.
- Familiarity with the following concepts:
- Load balancers
- Secure connectivity
- VoIP/SIP systems
- Storage
Certification/Licensure:
- Industry certifications in one or more of the following areas:
- CISSP or any security certification
- Cisco
- Microsoft
- Proficient with ITIL change, incident, configuration management and capacity planning.
Skills & Abilities (i.e. technical, knowledge, etc.):
- Must be able to perform, with or without reasonable accommodation, all essential functions of the job.

Compensation and Benefits:
- Compensation based on position, education and experience. Bi-weekly paid.
- $70-78k base salary
- This position is also eligible for our Support Central bonus program which is based on annual achievement of company performance.
