MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- BS Degree in Engineering or Physics required
- 2-5 years of experience in Systems, Electrical, or Acoustic Engineering
- Experience operating in a new product development team
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Graduate Degree in Systems, Electrical, or Acoustic Engineering a plus
- Experience with military programs, products and requirements desired
ABOUT THE JOB!
The Systems Engineer is a key part of the team in developing electro-acoustic, electromechanical, and electro-optical products. The Systems Engineer will provide strong, active, and decisive technical leadership to the development team. The Systems Engineer should be a highly motivated self-starter who needs minimal direction and works well within multi-disciplinary teams.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
• Technical breadth to understand electrical, mechanical, acoustic, and signal processing to assist the development team as it pertains to system requirements and specifications
• Experience in working with multidisciplinary teams including Electrical, Mechanical, and Acoustic through the product development life cycle
• Comfortable in an outward facing role working directly with end users and program office to understand voice of customer and shape requirements
• Familiarity with MIL-STD for both ground and air requirements desired, i.e MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461
• Familiarity in analytical modeling tools such as MATLAB and other tools such as Visure requirements management software, MS office Project, Excel, and Visio
• Experience working with passive and active hearing protection devices preferred
• Understanding of NPD process, Quality SOP's, test and measurement/analysis techniques a plus
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Provide technical input in a project team environment for various new product development efforts.
• Lead development tasks including system requirements, system architecture and design, preliminary design, critical design, system integration, formal verification, formal validation, and fielding support.
• Evaluate and develop electro-mechanical system architectures for functional allocation in complex products(acoustic)
• Provide project support to resolve issues, reduce program risk, and facilitate the delivery of quality products to our customers
• Prepare and present technical briefings to peers, management, and customer community.
• Align key stakeholders on system requirements and technology constraints and decompose and allocate system requirements.
• Provide engineering support to manufacturing and production when involved with transition of products into the manufacturing environment
• Schedule flexibility to support critical deadlines may be required.
