Systems Engineer III ELINT

Location: Anne Arundel County, Maryland

Minimum Clearance Required: Top Secret/SCI with FS Poly

As a Systems Engineer III ELINT, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing complex and diverse software systems.

Who You Are and What You Need:

• Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university required. Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
• Twenty (20) years' experience as a SE in complex DoD programs and contracts required
• Demonstrated experience in planning and leading Systems Engineering efforts required
• Previous experience with ELINT report generation and the interface between the ELINT sensor system(s) and end-user mission systems.
• Previous experience with DF theory utilizing spinning DF antennas and interferometric DF arrays and the correlation of DF results into a Fix.
• Familiarity of Omni and DF antenna arrays, RF and IF switching, signal processing theory and equipment, data storage and real-time streaming of data between acquisition systems and a control center.
• Previous experience developing Functional Requirements Documents (FRDs) and Statement of Work (SOW) to the detail needed for a vendor to build an ELINT collection, processing and reporting system
• Strong written and communication skills
• Ability to use Microsoft Office operating systems

What You Will Do:

• Provide operations and support of GOTS (SEI processing) and COTS applications, RF tuner(s), switching and processing hardware, metadata/product repositories and storage systems.
• Follow defined procedures to monitor systems and resolve problems.
• Identify problems and optimize performance as needed; escalate as appropriate; follow change management process and procedures.
• Analyze and report on operational metrics to ensure success in process improvements and capacity planning; provides recommendations for improvements needed.
• Provide production support for escalated items, troubleshoot problems, notify appropriate resources in the event of failure and work with resources to resolve issues; complie with service level agreements.
• Adhere to security requirements and procedures, report issues as appropriate, and make recommendations for any necessary improvements.
• Document new or modified functions, modules, systems or configurations.
