Our client is one of the world's leading defense contractors and a stable Fortune 500 company.
We are hiring a Diagnostics Engineer II to assist with our combat vehicle programs for evaluating design changes and modifications for diagnostics implications and recommending improvements where feasible. In this role, you will interact closely with lead diagnostics engineers and design engineers. Potential programs to support include: Armored Multi-Purpose Vehicle (AMPV), Amphibious Combat Vehicle (ACV), and the recovery vehicle (M88). The Diagnostics Engineer II: -- Collaborates and communicates regularly with a team of engineers and leadership to assess and improve the design to meet product requirements and customer needs.
-- Review and evaluation of electrical circuit diagrams.
-- Analyzing system and subsystem designs for diagnostics deficiencies and recommending potential corrective action.
-- Developing strategies, testing, and analysis methods for complex problems.
-- Performing troubleshooting on electrical/electronic and computer assemblies at a sub-system and system level using the most effective method.
-- Conducting diagnostics analyses to include diagnostics modeling, test logic, failure analysis, etc.
-- Familiarity with model-based analysis tools such as eXpress or Cameo.
Skills Preferred
-- Ability to develop concise technical presentations and brief to leadership and customers.
-- Ability to write reports that identify and resolve technical issues.

- Works in a fast-paced environment while adapting to changing priorities and taskings.
- Provides planning and execution support to different phases of the project through the life of a program from concept to fielding.
- Leverages physical, hands-on prototypes to provide rapid feedback to the design team.
- Contributes to and provides input to team direction and strategy.
- Takes responsibility for continuous learning with a focus on domain skills and model-based, digital engineering enterprise capabilities
- Work across functional teams to support development of diagnostics and testability designs using model-based techniques for complex weapons systems. Support development of diagnostics and troubleshooting strategies, testing, and analysis methods for complex problems in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Analyze designs to identify detection and isolation of faults known or expected to occur in systems and equipment.
- Provide support for verification and validation activities of diagnostic tests during fabrication, assembly and system test.
- Prepare presentation materials for senior management and for internal/external customers.
- Entry level knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of engineering including electrical circuit design.
- Experience with basic technical design and development of electrical and mechanical systems.
- Familiarity with current computer applications (Microsoft Office) and technologies in applicable engineering disciplines.
- Ability to develop and maintain an effective network of relationships with teammates to solve technical problems.
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Electrical, Aerospace, or Software Engineering)
