About the Job
Griffon Aerospace is seeking a systems engineer to support ongoing UAV projects. You will work closely with team members (Customers, Program Managers, Engineering, Production, Operations) to ensure that all project requirements and artifacts are modeled correctly. Responsibilities include understanding customer requirements, defining and modeling system architectures, and effective project communication.
To be a successful candidate, you will need to have proven experience in systems engineering and the ability to communicate with project and customer teams of various sizes.
- Develop system designs through Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools such as Cameo
- Develop system design with knowledge of SysML and preferably, UAF.
- Create system requirements and subsystem requirements and define system bounds, capabilities, and functional features.
- Coordinate with cross-discipline team members to make sure the actual design is as close as possible to the intended design.
- Monitor and manage full system-level requirements for the overall built system and ensure that the system meets the intended requirements.
- Monitor and manage validation and verification of requirements at the system and subsystem level.
- Defense and aviation experience, especially in Uncrewed Aircraft, is a plus.
REQUIREMENTS
- A bachelor's degree in a related field; or experience in lieu of education.
- Experience with Cameo Enterprise Architect and/or other similar MBSE tools .
- Able to complete tasks in a timely manner.
- Active Security Clearance or ability to obtain a Security Clearance.
- US Citizen.
