What you will be doing:
- Integrating embedded controls into the system controller/engine controller
- Tuning work
- Working on an engine with motor and after-treatment heater control
- Applies the established practices and processes of the team and supports improvement activities
- Look for opportunities to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the development process through lessons-learned activities
- Investigate embedded software problems in the test cell -Â understand causal mechanisms, recommend appropriate action, own problem resolution and validation, run design review and document results
- Makes decisions in the areas of software requirements, implementation, and testing that impact the quality and performance of software
- Delivers independent execution of established and emerging work processes and systems, while still developing technology or product knowledge.
- Provides support and guidance to influence technical direction within a project team and continues to develop proficiency in the competency areas critical to success in the role.
- Conduct bench, test cell, or vehicle testing to verify embedded software features' functionality and robustness
What you'll need to be successful:
Essential:
- College, university, or equivalent Bachelor's degree in Engineering or other relevant technical disciplines.
- Power Electronics experience
- Systems engineering experience - broad knowledge, write requirements etc.
- MS office suite solid knowledge is required.
- Humble, and teachable
- Effective and collaborative team player
- Good communicator – written and verbal
- Automotive engine
- Hybrid vehicle
- PCAN view, Canalyzer, etc.
- Windchill RV & S / PTC Integrity
- General electric vehicle knowledge: Battery Pack/System, Traction, Power Electronics, EV charging/AC/DC Fast Charging/ Vehicle-to-Grid type of feature
