About the role

CS Erickson is seeking an experienced and innovative Systems Engineer to lead the design, development, and implementation of advanced control systems for a variety of AV projects. As a Systems Engineer, you will play a critical role in shaping the direction of our AV solutions, ensuring their efficiency, safety, and adherence to industry standards.
What you"ll do

• Assist in the design, development, and integration of AV systems under the guidance of senior team members.
• Support sales staff by gathering technical details for quotes and engineering input.
• Contribute to the development of AV system layouts, ensuring alignment with project requirements and client needs.
• Help create documentation such as system specifications, basic system schematics, and system flow diagrams.
• Work with senior staff to explore design strategies aimed at optimizing system performance and efficiency.
• Support the integration of system designs with related systems like HVAC, lighting, and building management controls.
• Assist in the development and execution of testing plans to validate system functionality and performance.
• Provide input and assistance to project teams for improvements and updates to existing AV systems.
• Learn and apply industry safety standards, regulations, and electrical codes under supervision.
• Collaborate with team members, including project managers and clients, to support successful project execution.
• Communicate technical concepts clearly to team members and stakeholders as needed.

Qualifications

• Associates degree
• 3+ Years of designing AV signal flows with AutoCAD and using CAD software for overall system design
• Previous experience in mentoring or leading junior engineers.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a track record of successfully resolving complex AV system issues.
• Familiarity with relevant regulations, standards, and codes.
• Strong client relationship skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Exceptional communication skills for effective collaboration and technical presentations.
