Job Summary

As the Systems Engineer you will support the Oracle Hospitality Cruise Fleet & Property Management Systems, formerly known as Fidelio Cruise.

Job Description

We are looking for a Systems Engineer to perform data analysis, system analysis, system administration, system testing, system certification, and quality assurance for Oracle Hospitality Cruise Fleet & Property Management Systems, formerly known as Fidelio Cruise. This position will be a full-time 6 month contract and on-site.

What You'll Do

• Exhibit subject matter expertise on the low level design of a product and data stack

• Understand the product’s entire technology stack

• Understanding relational database fundamentals and working knowledge of the product data model

• Understand the interdependencies between the product and other products within the enterprise

• Configuration and testing of the system at the client's headquarters lab environment and onboard the fleet

• Supporting the end users through UAT cycles, support escalations, business partner meetings, project deliverables or other

• Physical installation of the system in the lab or onboard the fleet production environments; travel may be required

• Business and end user support through project stabilization & operational support

• Support of production like development & test lab environments

• Create and maintain relevant product documentation including build documents, functional requirements, buy list, troubleshooting or other documentation

• Other assignments as needed by Manager to support the system, projects and business partners

• Knowledge and experience troubleshooting networks, firewalls, IPs, NATs, APIs, interface technologies or other connective devices or technologies

• Attend agile ceremonies, daily standups, update stories and work within a team setting

• Advanced knowledge & experience with Oracle databases including views, tables, and indexes

• Experience troubleshooting complex system issues involving XML, MSMQ, or other technologies

What You'll Need

Required:

• 3+ years of OHC FMS or OHC SPMS or Fidelio Cruise experience Management of a product backlog of defects and enhancements

• Digesting requirements and user stories

• Estimation of incoming technology requests and cost/benefit analysis

• Context Definition and Solution Sketching

• Maintaining a relationship and driving a schedule with product vendors and business partners and delivery teams

• Building & executing test cases to evaluate requirements, functionality, and to verify bug fixes

• Ensures there is accurate and current documentation of all existing and new products

• Knowledge of SQL and ability to create complex ad-hoc statements involving large datasets

• Reporting experience, preferably with Crystal Reports, or other technologies that interface with databases

• Ability to troubleshoot complex system issues involving multiple interfaced systems utilizing technologies such as XML, MSMQ, stored procedures, functions and other

• Excellent written and verbal communication

• Adept at learning new Relational database models

• Proficiency with MS Excel, including Vlookup and Pivot tables

• Proficiency in generating complex SQL queries and scripts. Primarily Oracle

• Experience creating reports (Crystal Reports preferred) and working with other database tools (SQL Developer preferred)

• Demonstrate flexibility during times of change and ability to adjust to shifting priorities, demands and timelines

• Adept at independently conducting research and understanding when escalation to a manager is appropriate and escalating in a timely manner

• Ability to learn, understand and apply new technologies independently and with training

• Self-motivated and able to work independently, as well as in a team environment

• Sensitivity to an environment which may collect and maintain data relevant to GDPR, PCI, PII regulations.

• Ability to work on multiple projects at same time

Preferred:

• 5+ years Application Software Delivery Life Cycle, Implementation, and Support

• 5+ years Relational Databases & SQL

• Crystal Reports Writing

• Previous work experience with Jira, Confluence, ServiceNow

Physical Demands

• Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state and local standards

• Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.

• Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
