Systems Engineer - Zachary Piper LLC

Piper Enterprise Solutions is seeking a Systems Engineer for a position that is hybrid, with 1-2 days onsite in Columbia, MD, to join a collaborative and dynamic group responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining IT infrastructure technologies and services.

Responsibilities for the Systems Engineer:

• Plan and design technology solutions to align with IT strategies.
• Implement systems-related technology projects.
• Provide third-tier technical support and perform root cause analysis.
• Document SOPs and create Knowledge Base Articles (KBAs).
• Develop automated scripts for operations and security compliance.

Qualifications for the Systems Engineer:

• 6+ years of direct experience with Windows Server, Exchange Server, and Active Directory.
• Experience with Microsoft Active Directory, Azure Active Directory (AAD), and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).
• Knowledge of Privileged Access Management (PAM) technologies (e.g., Delinea, Centrify).
• Proficiency in Enterprise Messaging (e.g., Teams, Exchange Online) and Microsoft O365 services.
• Experience with Agile, SCRUM, DevOps, and ITIL processes, as well as experience with Data Security (e.g., DLP, AIP, data classification).
• Bachelor’s Degree in related area or 6+ years of experience in the field.
• MCSE or similar certifications preferred.

Compensation for the Systems Engineer:

• Salary Range: $90,000 - $110,000 *based on experience*
