About the Role
Reporting directly to the Infrastructure Lead, the Systems Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for the implementation of core IT infrastructure solutions. The Systems Engineer is responsible for implementing specialized solutions that leverage our technology investment and solve real business problems. In addition to this, they will control, test, and maintain core and related systems, as required, and other duties as assigned. This position will lead or be a member of significant infrastructure projects necessary for the fulfilment of business objectives. Applicant should be a self-starter with very good analytical, organizational, oral and written communication skills.
What You’ll Do
- Implement, manage, and troubleshoot core systems and networking issues · Assist in the development and maintenance of Disaster Recovery Planning, implementation, and testing.
- Manage capacity and performance of the backup infrastructure ensuring the integrity of the infrastructure on a day-to-day basis.
- Monitor backup server environment, acknowledge incidents/problems, and resolving according to organization processes and procedures.
- Provide general core infrastructure support and assistance. · Assist in the resolution of escalated support desk tickets
- Creation and maintenance of SOP and Systems Documentation
- Ensure operational compliance within departmental standards and general industry best practice.
- Sharing progress reports with leadership teams and other departments to communicate changes and implementation of new technologies.
- Lead and manage the communication with IT vendors and third-party companies.
- Analyzing network data and infrastructure to determine inefficiencies and problems.
- Managing project timelines, budgets, and documentation according to the Agile Methodology.
- Manage and administer the Microsoft Azure cloud environment, including provisioning, configuration, performance monitoring, policy governance and security.
- Implementation, integration, configuration, development, and support of all stages of the SD-WAN process · Implementing, maintaining, supporting, developing and, designing communication networks based on Cisco Meraki technologies and equipment.
- As prescribed in Kingspan IT Manual, maintain, and improve data availability, security, and integrity of the IT systems.
- Other duties as assigned.
Additional Expectations
- Remain compliant with the Code of Conduct and Policies which includes the Kingspan Group Compliance Policy.
- Ensure that all duties related to product compliance are adhered to in accordance with the Product Compliance Policy, Laws, Regulations, and market demands.
- Responsible for all tasks to achieve compliance goals and demands of the Compliance Management System.
- Must raise concerns related to the Compliance Management System to their supervisor, manager, or any member of the Leadership Team, or through the confidential whistle blower service.
What You’ll Bring
- A bachelor’s degree in technology or science field.
- Minimum 10 years of work experience in a similar role in corporate environment · Manufacturing environment experience · Relevant industry certification CCNA, CCAP, MCSE, Azure Administrator, Azure Network Engineer are a plus.
- Cloud technology experience with an emphasis in MS Azure, Office365 Administration
- Systems Administration, Troubleshooting and Management.
- Skilled in Windows Server 2016, 2019 Implementation, Troubleshooting & Management.
- Working knowledge of network infrastructure standards & best practices ·
- VMware & Virtualization technologies.
- Microsoft Active Directory in a multi domain environment.
- Security Best Practices.
- Meraki networking skills as essential, HP Aruba skills are desirable.
- Agile Project Management skills.
- Documentation of IT processes, procedures, systems, and incidents as appropriate
