Daily tasks will include:
Defines the architecture of a computerized system (i.e., a system composed of software and hardware) in order to fulfill certain requirement, including a breakdown of the system into components, the component interactions and interfaces (including with the environment, especially the user), and the technologies and resources to be used in the design.
Senior 60 - 84 Months: Candidate is able to work independently, without assistance and provides guidance to others. May have an advanced education.
Daily tasks will include:
- Designs solutions and capabilities that are scalable and adaptable based on customer Agency business requirements in alignment with the architecture strategy, polices and standards.
- Promotes shared infrastructure and applications to reduce costs and improve business processes.
- Systems architect for rebuilding on-prem, stand-alone web applications and databases on new NYS data center virtual and enterprise infrastructure.
- Documents and communicates architectural requirements.
- Collaborates with Business Application Services staff to architect, design and implement new systems and modify the design of existing systems.
- Prepares technical documentation for submission to ITS Enterprise Engineering (ie. Bill of Materials (BoM), Server Diagrams, System Context Diagrams, etc.)
- Identifies and implements shared software solutions across Health & Human Services Agencies.
- Participates in evaluations of software products and Proof of Concepts (POCs).
- Collaborates with Information Security Officers and Portfolio Staff to remediate vulnerabilities and exploits.

- Bachelor's Degree in a Computer Related Field
- 60 Months of experience designing technical solutions architecture and capabilities in a data center environment.
- 60 Months of experience documenting and communicating technical solution architectural requirements and preparing data center system architecture and network flow documentation.
- 60 Months of experience with implementing both Windows Server IIS and .NET applications in a data center environment.
- 60 Months of experience with implementing Microsoft SQL Server including SSMS, SSIS, and SSRS with .NET application integration.
- 60 Months of experience implementing RESTful API Architecture including data models, endpoints, and authentication.
- 60 Months of experience with Microsoft Active Directory Single-Sign On integration with .NET applications.
