Systems Architect II

Suffolk, VA,

Our client is looking for a Systems Architect II to support the JS J7 Joint Training DevSecOps pipeline core infrastructure and data center in Suffolk, VA. The selected candidate will be responsible for supporting the Deputy Directorate, Joint Training (DDJT).

This role is 100% onsite.

Qualifications and Responsibilities:

• Lead Command and Control (C2) Systems Engineer.
• Assists in the design implementation of C2 Architecture.
• Responsible for loading and configuring GCCS.

Certifications (IAT Level II)

One of the following:

• Security+ CE
• GIAC Security Essentials Certification (GSEC)
• Security Certified Network Professional (SCNP)
• System Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP)
  • RHCSA Red Hat Certified System Administrator
  • RHCDS Red Hat Certified Data Center Specialist

And

• Functional area certification (required prior to start date)

Required Skills

• A Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related technical discipline.
• At least 4 years of recent and relevant Windows/Linux experience leading an architecture team for a software development project/program.
• At least 10 years of experience in a systems engineering, systems architecture, software architecture, or related role with a Systems Architecture Certification or Qualification.

Candidates must be US citizens able to obtain and/or maintain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance as a condition of employment
