Description

The Enterprise Systems Architect will have responsibility to support the technical operational aspects of the Medicaid Data Warehouse (MDW) and the Medicaid Data Enterprise. This includes all hardware, software, and technical infrastructure in support of the design, development, and implementation of the MDW and the Medicaid Data Enterprise. Specific duties include:

Create technical specifications.
Review and evaluate technical specifications.
Review and evaluate procurements from both a technical and financial perspective.
Support and take responsibility for enterprise licensing, budget and forecasting efforts.
Ensure compliance with business objectives and requirements.
Assist NYS staff with project vendor(s) / system integrator(s).
Ensure functionality is integrated with other applications.
Create Logical and Physical Technology Models.
Work with Vendor and NYS ITS to support existing infrastructure.
Support Enterprise Architecture review and governance.
Participate in Data Governance meetings.
Fulfill research/review priority requests from management.
Review new and existing data designs including database, SQL and ETL applications to ensure correctness.
System and Vendor Quality Assurance.

Mandatory Qualifications

1	84 Months of Enterprise Architecture experience including managing enterprise solutions, software license agreements, procurements, RFIs, RFPs and overall enterprise budgets.
2	84 months of experience with data systems utilizing Oracle and other leading database platforms.
3	84 months creating, reviewing, and presenting enterprise-wide proposals to senior executives.
4	60 months experience designing, building, and testing cloud architecture using AWS, GCP, Azure, or Oracle Cloud.
5	60 months experience in IAM controls and design patterns based on NY and general industry standards
6	60 months experience in providing solution recommendation for enterprise applications and developing POCs for emerging technologies.
7	84 Months of experience developing and presenting White Papers on current and future architecture trends and their impact on the organization.
8	84 Months designing, developing and procurement of System and Data integration platforms across at least 20 independent systems
9	24 months experience in reviewing AI/ML use cases, and assessing general fitness of technology products to enable AI.
10	Masters/ Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology
