About the Job
The City of Issaquah is seeking a skilled IT Systems Analyst to support the systems and technological needs of the Issaquah Police Department. This applicant will work with our public safety officers, corrections officers, dispatch team and records management group to support the applications, desktops, Toughbook's, smartphones, and peripheral hardware and applications used by each group. This position will evaluate, recommend, install and deploy technology solutions for the Issaquah Police Department that include both hardware and software systems. This position will also provide general IT support for the downtown campus that includes the Executive, Finance, and Court departments. This position reports to the Information Technology Infrastructure Supervisor. The ideal candidate will have a passion for public safety, customer service, and innovation through the application of technology. Experience working with or in a Police Department and with Spillman Software is strongly preferred. The hours for this position are 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM. The selected candidate will be required to pass a Criminal Justice Information System (CJIS) background investigation.

Works under direction from Infrastructure supervisor.
Responds to assigned helpdesk tickets.
Implements and supports mobile hardware for police patrol vehicles, including ToughBooks, scanners, printers, and other equipment.
Deploys, maintains, and supports smartphones for police staff.
Assists police command, supervisors and other senior staff with information needed for evaluating the possible impacts, resource, and training needs associated with changing hardware and software systems.
Provides general desktop and application support for the City of Issaquah staff.
Follows and enforces all City of Issaquah cybersecurity standards and procedures.
Stay current with systems knowledge via workshops, vendor training events and online training.
High school diploma or equivalent. Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field preferred.
Valid WA State Driver’s License with a driving record free from frequent or serious violations. A three (3) year driving record abstract must be submitted prior to hire.
All candidates must be able to pass a pre-employment criminal background check.
Candidate must have experience working with law enforcement, law enforcement records.
Experience working with Police CAD/ RMS systems like Spillman, New World, Command Central.
Experience with provisioning user/device accounts, roles, and permissions within Active Directory, Office 365/Exchange/SharePoint/Intune, and Linux.
Experience with police dispatching and basic phone system troubleshooting.
Knowledge of Unix/Linux system administration.
A combination of experience and training that provides the applicant with the knowledge and skills to perform the job will be considered.
Substantial knowledge of personal computer hardware and software and local area networks.
Experience installing and maintain computers and peripheral equipment.
Mobile Device Management (MDM) software as it applies to smartphones and tablets.
Networking connections and TCP/IP protocols.
Microsoft Office applications including Word, Outlook, OneDrive and Excel.
Work Environment
Work is performed in an office environment with occasional travel between City buildings and workstations. Work involves sitting for extended periods of time. Flexibility is required for occasional evening and weekend work. Lifting equipment in excess of 50lbs.
