Position Title: System Analyst I - Financial Applications
Summary: The System Analyst I - Financial Applications works with customers, IS department members, and application vendors as part of an implementation team to support various applications. This role involves identifying and documenting customer needs, building electronic workflows, training customers, and providing ongoing maintenance and support for multiple applications and departments.
Major Function:
- Collaborate with customers, IS department members, and application vendors to support applications.
- Identify and document customer needs, build electronic workflows, and train customers.
- Provide ongoing maintenance and support for multiple applications and departments.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Associate degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years' recent experience in Information Services or a related field required.
- Experience working in a healthcare setting preferred.
- Business, clinical specialty, or related experience as an end user of a clinical or business system preferred.
Knowledge & Skills:
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
- Support Patient Registration and Scheduling
- Previous experience with Cerner Rev Cycle preferred.
Position Responsibilities:
- Lead application research and analysis for design decisions and specification documentation.
- Build and maintain pathways/screens/forms from simple to complex development.
- Evaluate the impact of new systems or system changes on all foreign systems and departments sharing data.
- Thoroughly test and validate data and outcomes.
- Troubleshoot and solve problems for projects and support.
- Develop specifications and design layouts for customer-required reports.
- Maintain Knowledge Base and Application Inventory on new applications and troubleshooting procedures.
- Document and communicate system changes.
- Schedule and provide training sessions on assigned applications.
- Provide 24x7 on-call support, triaging tickets and including in-depth notes.
Competencies:
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Effective problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to mentor team members and facilitate meetings.
Work Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years' recent experience in Information Services or a related field.
- Experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
- Business, clinical specialty, or related experience as an end user of a clinical or business system preferred.
