The NYS Workers Compensation Board (NYSWCB) is seeking a Systems Analyst Expert with experience in requirements analysis, elicitation and documentation. Without acquiring this additional system analyst, the WCB will be challenged to appropriately staff this initiative.

Day to Day task include:
- Scoping (working with project and program management)
- Using a variey of techniques to develop, illustrate and document detailed business requirements, business rules, context and system diagrams, and requirements traceability
- Partnering with WCB analysts, the system analyst will also assist in coordination between multiple project teams to ensure the enterprise-wide management of business requirements and deliverables are accuretly documented and not duplicated and can be introduced to the correct project and technical team with minimal rework
- Working with the ITS QA team and WCB SMEs, the business analysts will be responsible for user acceptance test planning and preparation and seeing through execution of that test phase for the acceptance of the system by the buiness SMEs
Requested Qualifications:
- 84 months experience working as a Systems Analyst on projects, performing extensive use case writing, process modeling, and business rules development and documentation.
- 48 months working on the application of process re-engineering methodologies used to define and remodel business processes. Experience should have been as part of a large scale/enterprise wide Business Process Re-engineering project.
- 48 months experience with the facilitation of working teams tasked with formally gathering and documenting business requirements and business rules for a future state environment.
- 48 months of experience in Designing and Implementing Information Technology Solutions.
- 24 months of experience as a Systems Analyst or Subject Matter Expert for a Workers' Compensation related project.
- 24 months of experience in User Acceptance Testing, writing UAT plans, and scenarios and/or scripts.
- 24 months of experience with 1 or more of the following software tools:
- Jira
- Confluence
- UXPin
- 24 months experience in forecasting BA effort for requirements gathering, process modeling and testing efforts. Experience must include multiple projects assisting project managers in project planning including developing formal project schedules and Level of Effort (LOE) methodology.
Work hours and location:
- Full time role with engagement length of 30 months
- Daily work hours: Negotiable (strongly prefer starting between 8:00 AM and 9:00 AM through 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM)
- Physical office location: NYS WCB, 150 Broadway - Suite 550, Menands, NY 12204
- Telecommuting options: 20-50% negotiable
