Riverside Research seeking a personable and highly technical individual to fill the role of Systems Administrator, capable of providing information technology support to groups performing cutting-edge research supporting national security interests. In this position, a successful candidate will leverage experience providing end-user support but will be primarily responsible for the maintenance and operation of IT systems in several distributed classified computing environments.
Responsibilities:- Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 support on primarily Windows-based operating systems across Riverside Research's infrastructure that includes investigating, troubleshooting, and resolving issues
- Capability to troubleshoot complex information technology problems using all available resources
- Develop new and maintain existing installation and configuration procedures
- Repair and recover from hardware or software failures
- Coordinate all significant information technology changes with the appropriate parties (management, infrastructure, information security, and customers)
- Collaborate with information security to ensure the information systems meet vulnerability and compliance requirements
- Other duties as assigned
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a systems administrator
- Bachelor's degree and minimum of 5 years’ experience or 3 years with a MS degree, or a PhD with no experience
- Working experience across traditional IT stack (Client, Networking, Server, Storage)
- Experience upgrading, installing, and configuring application software and computer hardware
- Ability to manage time independently without direct supervision
- Active Top Secret (or higher) USG Clearance
- DoD 8140 (451) Systems Admin - Intermediate Certification (Security+ or Equivalent)
Desired Qualifications:
- 7-10 years of experience working in information technology
- Experience implementing and maintaining STIG compliance
