Job Summary:
The Systems Administrator will be implementing and maintain our organization's IT infrastructure. This role involves server infrastructure management, troubleshooting, system monitoring, web server administration, virtualization (VMWare), and various system services. The Systems Administrator will assist in ensuring the stability, security, and efficiency of our infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
" Infrastructure Administration: Involves deploying, and maintaining server infrastructure while optimizing virtualization technologies, primarily VMWare. This includes executing server builds, encompassing operating system and application installation and configuration.
" Participate in infrastructure projects, ensuring on-time completion and adherence to designs.
" Perform capacity planning to anticipate resource needs and ensure infrastructure scalability to accommodate future growth.
" System Monitoring: Assist with proactive system monitoring tools, monitoring system performance, capacity, and availability, and promptly responding to alerts to resolve issues effectively.
" Web Server administration: Experience with web server administration including installations, configuration, optimizing performance, administering certificates,
" System Services Administration: Administers SFTP servers, terminal services, Active Directory, and Group Policy, ensuring compliance with organizational standards.
" Azure ADFS: Responsible for the administration of Azure Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS), configuration and management of SSO for cloud-based applications, and troubleshooting ADFS-related issues.
" Terminal Services Administration: Administers terminal servers, managing user access, application deployment, and performance tuning, while monitoring and resolving terminal services issues.
" Active Directory Administration: Manages and maintains Active Directory infrastructure, including user and group management, domain services, and security policies, troubleshooting Active Directory-related issues, and implementing security best practices.
" Patch Management: Experience with patch automation of windows and third-party patches. SCCM experience preferred.
" Windows scripting: Experience writing and running PowerShell scripts to automate tasks including Employee on-boarding, off-boarding, email management and server management.
Requirements:
" Bachelor s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
" 4 years experience as in a similar role.
" Experience with PowerShell scripting
" In-depth knowledge of VMWare virtualization technologies.
" Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols.
" Proficiency in system monitoring tools, such as What's Up Gold (WUG) or similar.
" Experience with web server administration
" Experience with Azure ADFS and SFTP administration.
" Proficiency in Terminal Services administration
" Expertise in Active Directory administration, including group management and security policies.
" Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
" Ability independently to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Working Conditions
" Schedule flexibility is occasionally necessary in this position. Individual may be required to perform certain business critical job functions outside of normal working hours.
" Must be able to communicate internally and externally through receiving and responding to auditory and visual methods.
