Description
As a VMware VDI Administrator, you will play a critical role in managing and optimizing our Virtual Desktop Infrastructure. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining VDI solutions that provide our sailors with efficient, secure, and reliable virtual desktop experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design, implement, and manage VMware Horizon View VDI environments.
• Monitor VDI infrastructure performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure optimal system performance.
• Collaborate with IT teams to deploy virtual desktops, manage pools, and provide end-user support.
• Perform regular system updates, patches, and upgrades to ensure security and stability.
• Develop and implement VDI best practices and security protocols.
• Create and maintain documentation for VDI configurations, policies, and procedures.
• Provide technical support to end-users, addressing VDI-related inquiries and issues promptly.
• Participate in capacity planning and scalability assessments to accommodate growing business needs.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies related to VDI and virtualization.
