Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Systems Administrator with a strong background in IT Support to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing IT systems, ensuring reliable performance, and providing technical support to KODA HQ users. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with exceptional troubleshooting skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain servers, networks, and IT infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and reliability in accordance with DISA STIG requirements.
- Perform system backups, patching, and routine maintenance to enhance security and functionality.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues promptly to minimize downtime.
- Implement and maintain Group Policies and other security configurations in Active Directory environments.
- Conducts vulnerability scans and remediates identified vulnerabilities for classified systems.
- Assist with software installations, updates, and configuration for workstations and servers.
- Document processes, standard operating procedures, and troubleshooting steps for IT systems.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies and standards, including STIGs and RMF guidelines.
- Supports diagnosis and corrects computer and network system issues.
- Acts as the liaison to the KODA helpdesk and supports requests for onsite support from team members.
- Ability to interface with other team members and senior leaders.
- Operations support: Five days a week, providing daily support for development and operational assets
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- The work location is KODA Technologies.
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or Associate's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 3+ years of experience in systems administration or a similar role.
- Proven expertise in Windows Server environments, Active Directory, and Group Policy management.
- The candidate must be able to install, troubleshoot, repair, operate, and maintain Information Systems and network equipment.
- Experience with system backup and disaster recovery processes.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to work independently.
- Experience working in a classified environment performing System Administration functions.
Desired Experience and Skills:
- Experience working with SCCM, WSUS, and Active Directory.
- Experience scripting with PowerShell
- Familiarity with cybersecurity principles, such as STIG implementation and Risk Management Framework (RMF).
- Knowledge of virtualized environments, including VMware or Hyper-V.
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals and switch configuration.
- Knowledge of working with DCSA standards.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including experience documenting processes and training end-users.
Clearance and Other Requirements:
- Active Secret clearance is required with the ability to obtain Top Secret clearance.
- Certifications: Security+ required; other professional certifications desired
- Ability to work on-site and occasionally after normal business hours for system updates or issue resolution.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
