System Administrator
(Junior – Mid/Senior Levels)

Clearance: Active Top Secret SCI clearance with a full-scope polygraph
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience

OVERVIEW
Caribou Thunder is seeking a motivated System Administrators to join our team. You will be responsible for managing and maintaining the computing infrastructure, networks, and systems critical to software development and operational processes. Ensuring the stability, security, and efficiency of servers, databases, and network resources by implementing best practices in system configuration, patch management, and monitoring. This role involves supporting development environments, troubleshooting technical issues, and collaborating with software engineers and cybersecurity teams to optimize performance and safeguard data. The Systems Administrator also plays a key role in automating processes, performing regular system updates, and providing end-user support, enabling a reliable and secure platform for continuous software development and deployment.
REQUIREMENTS
Provides support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of Information Technology (IT) systems. Manages IT system infrastructure and any processes related to these systems. Provides support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc. Provides Tier I (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution of problems. Provides support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and. internal customers. Provides support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remains involved in the resolution process. Configures and manages UNIX and Windows operating systems and installs/loads operating system software, troubleshoots, maintains integrity and configures network components along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
Junior
1. Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems.
2. Provide Tier I (Help Desk) problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution of problems.
3. Manage the daily activities of configuration and operation of IT systems.
4. Aid users in accessing and using IT systems.
5. Provide Tier I (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution of problems.
6. Provide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.
7. Provide support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers.
8. Optimize system operations and resource utilization, and perform system capacity analysis and planning.
Mid
9. Provide in-depth experience in trouble-shooting IT systems.
10. Provide detailed analysis and feedback to agency management and internal customers for escalated tickets.
11. Provide support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remains involved in the resolution process.
12. Configure and manage UNIX and Windows (or other applicable) operating systems and install/loads operating system software, troubleshoot, maintain integrity of and configure network components, along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
Senior
13. Support the design of systems, mission architecture and associated hardware.
14. Possess a working knowledge and understanding of system administration interdependencies as part of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA)
15. Analyze and resolve complex problems associated with server hardware, applications, and software integration.
QUALIFICATIONS
Junior-Level
1. Five (5) years" experience as a System Administrator in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
Mid-Level
2. Ten (10) years" experience as a System Administrator in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
Senior-Level
3. Fifteen (15) years" experience as a System Administrator in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
