The Lactation Network is hiring a Systems Administrator. This person will be essential in the administration and maintenance of IT systems. This role will manage existing network and systems, and deploy solutions to provide increased performance, reliability, and efficiency for our employees. In addition, this position will run the service desk support needed for escalated issues.

Breakdown of the role
- Systems Administration & Maintenance (60%) – The Systems Administrator will configure system settings, conduct regular system maintenance, and perform user management.
- Systems Integration (30%) – This role will build and maintain system integrations via middleware and/or custom API interfaces.
- Service Desk Support Escalation (10%) – When applicable, our user support team will triage system configuration-related issues to the Systems Administrator for resolution.
Reporting to the IT Operations Director, you’ll have responsibilities that include:
- Serve as an administrator for our various systems, including Entra, Microsoft 365, Intune and others.
- Configure and maintain system integrations via middleware and/or custom API interfaces.
- Onboard and offboard users with role-based security and access provisioning.
- Audit user access to systems and ensure licenses are being used effectively.
- Perform routine maintenance and controlled updates to IT systems.
- Log and monitor system performance, errors, and security threats.
- Work with the Senior Systems Administrator to create, maintain, and test disaster recovery and business resiliency plans for supported applications.
- Work with the Senior Systems Administrator and the Security Team to develop, implement, and maintain security protocols across all platforms.
- Hardware asset management including, procurement, setup, and remote access.
- Field and resolve issues triaged and escalated by IT Helpdesk team.
- Assist in developing and maintaining IT procedures, creating automation solutions, and producing technical documentation and knowledge base materials.
- Serve in an on-call rotation (approximately 10 days annually) to provide critical support during holidays and off-hours, requiring technical troubleshooting capabilities, prompt incident response, and consistent computer access to address urgent system disruptions and outages.
- 5+ years of experience as a Systems Administrator or similar role·
- 3+ years of experience with common enterprise system platforms such as:
- Cloud-based environments (ERP, CRM, Exchange, Azure/AWS, etc)
- Identity and access management (iPaaS, IDP, SAML, SCIM, OAuth, 2FA/MFA, etc)
- Saas and point solution
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or similar discipline or the recognized equivalent in education and experience
- Proficiency with identity and access management tools and best practices
- Experience with email administration, security, and monitoring (Microsoft 365)
- Familiarity with DNS/web cert management
- Knowledge of MDM and patching software such as Intune, and NinjaOne.
- Experience with administering MAC OS (Experience with Apple Business Manager is a plus)
