Systems Accountant I - Emergency Management Department - County of Riverside

The Emergency Management Department (EMD) has an opening for a Systems Accountant I for the Riverside Office. The incumbent in this position will be responsible for running general ledger transactions and balances through an automated system that the candidate will be developing and will be tasked with identifying discrepancies and assigning them to be corrected. The Systems Accountant I will be responsible for account management including contract calculations, distribution, and billing. Additionally, the incumbent will be in charge of disaster recovery and ensuring the system is working for proper data input/output.

Candidates with emergency management experience, grant experience are highly encouraged to apply.  Candidates must have experience with Microsoft Access Development.  

The Riverside County Emergency Management Department (EMD) is a public safety department that includes Emergency Planning Division (EPD)the Riverside County Emergency Medical Services Agency (REMSA) and the Emergency Services Division (ESD). EMD coordinates emergency management and emergency medical services in order to mitigate, prevent, prepare for, respond to, and recover from emergencies and disasters.
