The Role
We are looking for a talented System Engineer specializing in Automation & Monitoring to support our growing business and technological needs. You will play a key role in maintaining, optimizing, and monitoring our infrastructure while driving its future development.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement automated solutions.
- Configure and deploy automation tools (e.g., RedHat AAP).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate and enhance systems.
- Maintain and improve automated workflows and provisioning.
- Monitor infrastructure, applications, and APIs (e.g., using Datadog).
- Provide technical training and support to teams.
Reporting Structure
- Hierarchical: Reports to the Managing Director of Technology Italy.
- Functional: Reports to the Infrastructure Team Leader.
Qualifications and Skills
Essential:
- Strong experience in information technology and security.
- Proficiency in:
- Ansible and REST APIs.
- Azure, Azure DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automated workflows.
- ServiceNow CMDB.
- Monitoring tools like Datadog.
- Job schedulers and SCM tools (e.g., AAP, Rundeck, Git).
- Jinja templating.
- Expertise in incident management and root cause analysis (RCA).
- Proven experience with business-critical application deployment and maintenance.
- Excellent multitasking and communication skills in English.
- Exceptional customer service orientation.
Preferred:
- Experience with ticketing systems and management tools.
- Knowledge of cloud-based compute, storage, and networking solutions (Azure).
- Familiarity with Agile methodology.
- Proficiency in scripting (Bash, Python, PowerShell).
- ITIL certification.
- Experience in a Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) environment.
