About the Job
The System Architect is responsible for researching, designing, developing, testing and deploying operating software for employee and client use with the aim of optimizing operational efficiency keeping in line with the organization’s vision and mission.
Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field preferred
• Continued education in new IT systems as they become available and are relevant to organization’s operations
• Extensive hands-on experience in software design and engineering
• Expertise in C, C++, C#, Java, R, T-SQL and other selected languages (including formula language for Microsoft Power Apps)
• Microsoft Office 365 Suite, SharePoint, Database Development and Administration, UX Design Software, ER Design Software, DevOps Tool, Cloud Management Tools
• Working knowledge of federal law labor issues, including but not limited to: Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), Service Contract Act and Davis-Bacon Act, preferred
• Valid Texas Driver License
Typical Duties
• Improves operations by conducting software systems analysis and recommending changes in policies and procedures.
• Develops and directs software system testing and validation procedures.
• Analyzes user and client needs and requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints.
• Demonstrates solutions by developing specifications for software development, documentation, flow charts, layouts, diagrams and code comments.
• Executes full life cycle software and database development using standard DevOps methodologies.
• Serves as a subject matter expert.
• Tailors and deploys software tools, processes and metrics.
• Oversees and manages development team and software development progress, including both in-office and offshore teams.
• Internal communication with all business units in the company and external communication with clients.
• Performs other duties, tasks and special projects as assigned.
