Responsibilities:
- Experience working as architect on deliver personalized user experience, content discovery and recommendations.
- Experience working with cloud service provider such as DigitalSmith, ContentWise and other integrating with their services.
- Awareness of the upcoming trends in the entertainment / media industry, how to up-sell revenue-generating items and cross-sell other media.
- Conducting architectural assessments, breakdown of the system into components, the component interactions and interfaces, and the technologies and resources to be used in the design.
- Determine integrated hardware and software architecture solutions that meet performance, usability, scalability, reliability, and security needs.
- Develop technical documentation on applications and systems.
- Facilitate and lead in the evaluation and selection of commercial-off-the-shelf product evaluation, frameworks and open source platforms
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (Engineering, Computer Science), Master's degree preferred
- 8+ years relevant experience as a Systems Engineer / Architect working in the Entertainment & Media industry
- Experience in entertainment & media industry with delivering video using broadcast & broadband/cellular streaming mechanism
- Experience in Broadcast/broadband Television, Video-On-Demand, Pay Per View
- Experience working as architect defining the roadmap and strategy for increasing customer engagement via personalization and recommendation of content.
- Experience in coming up with high-level architectural design and technology roadmaps
- Understanding of latest trends and technologies including mobile based applications preferred
- Excellent problem solving, critical thinking and analytical skills, with strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to collaborate without guidance
- Leadership qualities, including ability to facilitate technical discussions with diverse and cross-functional groups and good negotiation skills. Ability to influence others with ideas and proposed architecture options
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to tailor communication to the target audience to achieve desired results
