Job Title: System Architect
Job Location: Long Island, NY (25% onsite, 75% remote)
Clearance: Must be authorized to work in the US
SKILLS REQUIRED
· Proficient in the use of Microsoft VISIO and AutoCAD
· Ability to perform equipment level design for the mechanical and
electrical details of field enclosures.
· Ability to engage with the customer and effectively communicate new or
revised designs.
· Ability to read and understand the facility or field site construction
blueprints of new or existing buildings.
· Ability to utilize Microsoft Visio/AutoCAD to design and document new
infrastructure requirements to fulfill the requirements of the project.
Example: Analyze the power, space and HVAC existing conditions and
determine if the site can support the new network and computer equipment
installations.
· Ability to design and document in Microsoft VISIO/AutoCAD the physical
layout and installation requirements to support the Verizon network
infrastructure at locations that vary from field cabinets to
brick-and-mortar type buildings.
· Ability to design and document in Microsoft VISIO/AutoCAD the
electrical cabling installation requirements to support the Verizon
network infrastructure, RTU (Remote Terminal Units) and associated power
cabling requirements.
· Ability to design and document the requirements for Data Centers and
Communication rooms.
· Ability to define and document the “Work Scope” required for
contractors to quote a project cost. In some cases, support the
contractors on-site and see the work through to completion.
EXPERIENCE MINIMUM
10 to 15 years of experience
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Electrical Engineering or experience in electrical engineering.
