We are seeking a dynamic and experienced System Administrator to join our team. This is a permanent position in our Engineering department, where you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our complex IT infrastructure. This position is ideal for someone with a strong background in Linux and Windows servers, Python, and AWS. The candidate must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role. You will have the opportunity to work with a team of dedicated professionals and contribute to our mission of providing top-notch engineering solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Implement, manage, and maintain Linux and Windows servers to ensure the smooth running of operations.
- Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures for various systems and software.
- Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems, and key processes.
- Regularly conduct performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required.
- Apply OS patches and upgrades on a regular basis, and upgrade administrative tools and utilities as needed.
- Maintain operational, configuration, or other procedures and documentation.
- Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required.
- Manage AWS environment to ensure optimal functionality, including setup, deployment, and maintenance.
- Develop scripts in Python to automate routine system administration tasks.
- Work closely with the team to resolve technical issues and improve system performance.
- Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience as a System Administrator or in a similar role.
- Proven experience with Linux and Windows server environments.
- Strong scripting skills in Python.
- Solid understanding of AWS, including setup, deployment, and maintenance.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical colleagues.
- Proven experience in managing large scale IT infrastructure.
- Certification in Linux/Windows Server or AWS is a plus.
- Ability to work in a team and independently when required.
- Excellent attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
