System Administrator, Senior - Resource Management Concepts, Inc.

RMC is hiring for a Senior Systems Administrator to support a Department of the Navy (DoN) customer in Port Hueneme, CA. Position is contingent of successful award of contract.

Salary Range for this position is: $150,000 to $160,000 annually

Responsibilities include:

• Monitor existing systems to ensure structural integrity.
• Oversee the development and installation of new hardware and software.
• Install and configure operating systems and other software and routinely test installed software for glitch detection and other issues.
• Provide technical direction to IT support staff.
• Ensure constant availability of technical resources.
• Design and implement security systems and redundant backups to maintain data safety.
• Write custom scripts to reduce the need for human intervention.

Requirements

• Minimum of five (5) years of Cisco layer 2 and layer 3 Infrastructure experience.
• Minimum of five (5) years of Firewall, IDS, and/or IPS administration and configuration experience.
• Experience with cabling management.
• Minimum of five (5) years securing a Cisco environment in accordance with DISA STIGs.
• Bachelor’s level degree in Electrical/Electronic/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems.
• CompTIA Security+ certification or equivalent required.
• Interim DoD SECRET Clearance is required to start. Personnel may be required to obtain and maintain a TS clearance. Applicant selected may be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Preferred Skills

• Master’s level degree in Electrical/Electronic/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems.
• Advanced Cyber Certification – GSLC; CISSP; CISM; CAP; CASP.
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience with scoping, architecture, and design of new network infrastructure, including cryptographic and long haul requirements.
