ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented System Administrator III to join our team in Fort Meade, MD .
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
+ Maintaining, configuring, and ensuring the reliable operation of computer systems, network servers, and virtualization.
+ Installing and upgrading computer components and software, managing virtual servers, and integrating automation processes.
+ Troubleshooting hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing the impact of issues.
+ Providing documentation and technical specifications to IT staff for planning and implementing new or upgraded IT infrastructure.
+ Performing Kubernetes system administration in a DevOps Continuous Integration/Continuous Development (CI/CD) environment.
+ Designing the architecture for an enterprise Kubernetes infrastructure to support a CI/CD pipeline.
+ Performing or delegating regular backup operations and implementing appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures.
+ Leading desktop and help desk support efforts, ensuring all desktop applications, workstations, and related equipment problems are resolved in a timely manner with limited disruptions.
+ Capacity, storage planning, and database performance, and monitoring and managing all installed systems and infrastructure.
Basic Qualifications:
+ Bachelor's degree in an IT or related discipline and nine (9) years of position-specific relevant experience.
+ DoD 8570.01-m IAT Level-II Certification within 6 months of commencing work on the TDL.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Bachelor's degree in Systems Administration or Engineering.
+ Relevant industry standard certifications such as Microsoft, Red Hat Linux, AWS, or VMWare.
+ Experience with scripting languages and automation tools such as Ansible, Salt or Puppet.
Clearance Requirements:
+ Must have a current/active TS/SCI with the ability to obtain and maintain a Polygraph.
Physical Requirements:
+ Must be able to be in a stationary position more than 50% of the time.
+ Must be able to communicate, converse, and exchange information with peers and senior personnel.
+ Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a computer.
