Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented System Administrator II to join our team in the DMV area. We have opportunities in the Washington, DC area as well as Northern Virginia and Maryland . If you are looking for an opportunity in any of those locations, we encourage you to apply.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
+ Supports the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, network servers, and virtualization
+ Support upgrades to computer components and software, management of virtual servers, and integration of automation processes
+ Support troubleshooting hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing the impact of issues
+ Support documentation and technical specifications for planning and implementing new or upgraded IT infrastructure
+ Support regular backup operations and implement appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures
+ Support desktop and helpdesk efforts, ensuring all desktop applications, workstations, and related equipment problems are resolved in a timely manner with limited disruptions
+ Supports Kubernetes system administration in a DevOps CI/CD environment
+ Support configuring Kubernetes auto-provisioning and auto-scaling of CI/CD job/build agents/runners/nodes and assist in designing and implementing clusters, cluster segmentation, and internal/external networking for the four CI/CD deployment environments: development, test, staging, and production
+ Support capacity, storage planning, and database performance, and monitor and manage all installed systems and infrastructure
Basic Qualifications:
+ Bachelor's degree in an IT, Business, Engineering, Math, Science, or related field
+ Two or more (2+) years of related experience
+ Hold one of the following certifications within 6 months of commencing work on the Task Order:
+ CCNA-Security
+ CySA+ GICSP
+ GSEC
+ Security+ CE
+ CND
+ SSCP
+ If a candidate does not have a degree at all, four (4) additional years of experience are required
+ If a candidate holds an Associates degree rather than a Bachelors degree, two (2) additional years of experience are required
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Relevant industry standard certifications such as Microsoft, Red Hat Linux, AWS, or VMWare
+ Experience with scripting languages and automation tools such as Ansible, Salt or Puppet
Clearance Requirements:
+ This role requires an active TS/SCI clearance
Physical Requirements:
+ Must be able to be in a stationary position more than 50% of the time
+ Must be able to communicate, converse, and exchange information with peers and senior personnel
+ Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a computer
+ The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
+ The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
