Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
+ Maintains, configures, and ensures the reliable operation of computer systems, network servers, and virtualization.
+ Install and upgrade computer components and software, manage virtual servers, and integrate automation processes.
+ Troubleshoot hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing the impact of issues.
+ Provide documentation and technical specifications to IT staff for planning and implementing new or upgraded IT infrastructure.
+ Perform or delegate regular backup operations and implement appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures.
+ Support desktop and helpdesk support efforts, ensuring all desktop applications, workstations, and related equipment problems are resolved in a timely manner with limited disruptions.
+ Responsible for capacity, storage planning, and database performance, and monitoring and managing all installed systems and infrastructure.
Basic Qualifications:
+ 3+ years of position-specific relevant experience.
+ Bachelor's degree in IT or related discipline.
+ High School diploma or equivalent and 4 years of additional experience may be used in lieu of required degree.
+ DoD 8570.01-m- IAT Level II Certification must be obtained within 6 months of commencing work on the Task Order: CCNA-Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, SSCP
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Bachelor's degree in Systems Administration or Engineering.
+ Relevant industry standard certifications such as Microsoft, Red Hat Linux, AWS, or VMWare.
+ Experience with scripting languages and automation tools such as Ansible, Salt or Puppet.
Clearance Requirements:
+ Must have an active/current Secret securityclearance.
Physical Requirements:
+ Must be able to be in a stationary position more than 50% of the time
+ Must be able to communicate, converse, and exchange information with peers and senior personnel
+ Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a computer
+ The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
+ The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
