Job Description:
New Paradigm Consulting is seeking a professional IT Systems Administrator to provide comprehensive support and maintenance for a stable IT infrastructure across multiple SCIF (Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility) environments. The role involves managing telecommunications circuits, networking equipment, servers, Active Directory enterprise, applications, and desktop support. The primary objective is to ensure secure and stable system operations, smooth information flow, and proper functioning of endpoints throughout the organization's operations. As part of a collaborative team, the IT Systems Administrator will triage IT issues, ensure compliance, and deploy new systems.
Responsibilities:
- Contribute to daily operations by assisting in the triage of IT-related issues specific to closed area support.
- Resolve and provide prescriptive solutions to meet the organization's IT needs.
- Actively participate in implementing hardware and software, including building, upgrading, patching, and migrating network utilities, servers, systems, and applications within the SCIF.
- Monitor and schedule maintenance and backups for server infrastructure, both virtual and bare metal, within the SCIF.
- Contribute to planning and participating in customer surge support efforts.
- Provide day-to-day system administrator support of existing systems
- Gather, assess, and validate customer requirements
- Develop/engineer a solution to fit customer requirements and infrastructure capacities
- Implement virtual machines based on customer requirements
- Coordinate outages with the customer and help desk when patching servers operating systems or performing hardware maintenance
- Participate in customer meetings, present briefings, and provide weekly status reports to customer management
- Maintain knowledge of current technology
- Be available for 24/7 call-ins OR be able to work shifts
Job Qualifications:
- Clearance: TS/SCI Clearance.
- Education: Bachelors degree in a computer, engineering or system science discipline from an accredited college or university and seven (7) years of progressive, relevant experience, or Ten (10) years relevant experience
- Industry certifications that support IT Management like: CCNA, MCSE, CISSP, CompTIA A+, Network +, Security +
- Experience with Linux including administration, hardening, and maintenance.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Active Directory Domain Controllers
- Virtualization (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V)
- Cisco network switches and firewalls
- Systems infrastructure support for servers (both bare-metal and virtualized)
- Network gear configuration and support
- Security appliances/firewalls configuration and support
- Systems maintenance, tuning, backup, and recovery modeling and planning
- System hardening requirements, testing, and certification for secure information systems
- Security+ certification
- CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) certification
- Security configurations across multiple operating systems in various environments One of the following DoD approved certifications is necessary to meet the category/level IAT-2 (DoD 8570) requirement for this position: Security+, GSEC, SSCP, CCNA-Security, CISA, CISSP (or Associate), CASP, GCIH, or GCED.
