We are looking for a talented Systems Administration Manager to join a growing team. The ideal candidate will have Systems Administration experience in a Microsoft/O365 environment, as well as experience managing/mentoring a team of Systems Administrators.
TITLE
Manager - IT Systems Administration
LOCATION:
The Colony, TX (Plano area) - 2-3 days/week onsite
ROLE DESCRIPTION
- Manage third-party help desk and oversee performance of internal and outsourced services
- Project manage integration of systems, infrastructure, and data of acquired business lines
- into Quest Core systems
- Design, configure and administer network systems, including switches, routers, and
- firewalls
- Manage Azure cloud platform, third-party CSP, and work with IT leadership with
- capacity and scalability planning
- Ensure security measures are in place and administer KnowBe4 monthly testing,
- reporting, and lead improvement initiatives
- Track and resolve incidents and update users on requests
- Manage and maintain VOIP phone system
- Manage Office 365 deployment
- Manage Microsoft Windows systems, including performance tuning, security, disaster
- recovery, and capacity planning related to Active Directory, File Servers, Exchange Mail
- Servers, SQL Server, and Message Archiver
- Respond to systems and network related alerts and escalations and work with IT team to
- come up with strategic solutions to recurring problems
- Provide periodic performance reporting to support capacity planning
- Administer Freshservice ticketing system, workflows, and monthly reports
- Administer document management system
- Maintain system documentation, including configuration documentation, procedures, and
- related system DR plans
- Coordinate and conduct tests and migrations of new software, upgrades, and other
- enhancements to the production environment
- Complies with established policies, operating rules, SOX procedures, and guidelines
- Maintain current releases to operating systems and software packages
- Ensures hardware and software licensing compliance for servers, software, and other IT
- equipment
- Administer backup/recovery procedures
- Work with HR, IT and other leadership managing building maintenance vendors
- Must be able and willing to be on call
- Self-starter, keeping current with system technologies and best practice
- Lead and mentor junior staff and act as second level escalation for corporate help desk
- issues.

ROLE COMPETENCIES
- Bachelor’s degree in CS, IT or related field or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years’ experience in an enterprise network environment
- 3+ years’ Windows Server system administration experience
- 2+ years’ experience with Azure cloud services
- Skilled managing complex implementation projects
- Hands-on experience with VPN, Wireless LAN, WAN technologies, Security and Firewalls
- Extensive knowledge of VLANS, TCP/IP, DHCP and DNS
- Documented experience working with Hosting and Managed Service Providers
- Documented experience with cloud providers including Office 365 and Azure
- Knowledge of MAC OS
- Experience with Virtualization; Microsoft Hyper-V preferred
- Experience with platform and application monitoring tools
- Experience administering web servers
- Experience with Microsoft-SQL Server
- Advanced PowerShell scripting skills
- Self-starter, results-oriented, independent, inquisitive and strong attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent debugging, problem solving and testing skills ? Must be willing to be part of a 24/7 on-call rotation
- Willingness to work in all areas of IT as needed
