System Admin-Linux- Adabas - AKKODIS

Akkodis is seeking a System Admin-Linux- Adabas for a Contract job with a client in Quincy MA (Hybrid). Youwill design and implement database optimizations, collaborate with technical teams, and ensure the stability of the cloud-based infrastructure.

 

Rate Range: $80/hour to $85/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

 

System Admin-Linux- Adabas job responsibilities include:

• Monitoring and maintaining the stability of Adabas/Natural applications in a Cloud-based Linux server environment.

• Supporting Linux operating systems (RedHat, SuSe, CentOS) and ensuring optimal performance.

• Managing and optimizing Adabas databases, including performance tuning, backup, and recovery procedures.

• Administering the Natural development environment and performing database maintenance using Adabas utilities.

• Collaborating with development teams, vendors, and business users to address technical issues and ensure project alignment.

• Managing software upgrades and configuration for Software AG products on Linux.

• Implementing security measures, including certificate configuration for Software AG products.

 

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.

• Minimum of 10 years of Information Technology experience, with at least 5 years as an Adabas Database Administrator.

• Strong experience with Linux operating systems (RedHat, SuSe, CentOS) and Adabas/Natural applications.

• Prior government or healthcare experience is preferred.

Pay Details: $80.00 to $85.00 per hour
