Key: *** = Full Time & Part Time Regular Staff Only
As a Switchboard Operator, you will carry out our Mission of Love by operating switchboard and related communications equipment (i.e. radio transmitters/simplex panel). Processes calls to the appropriate department/or residents.
Our Switchboard Operator is responsible for the following:
- Handles incoming and outgoing telephone calls.
- Pages personnel and relays message through two-way radio.
- Monitors fire alarm panel and communicate alarm reports to security and maintenance.
- Keeps fire alarm logs and tests.
- Dispatches MVE staff to locations of incidents.
- Handles emergency fire calls, resident emergency calls, other medical calls, emergency pull cords and receives and dispatches 911 emergency calls.
- Reports on fire panel or monitoring station problems.
- Implements communications for MVE emergency response team as needed according to MVE emergency preparedness plan response.
What You Definitely Have:
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Pleasant and professional telephone manners.
- Previous switchboard experience preferred.
- Good written, oral, organizational, and basic computer skills.
