Position: Swiss CNC Applications Engineer
Location: Minneapolis, MN
Compensation: $85,000 - $100,000 per year
Job Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire
Travel Requirement: Extensive travel, approximately 50-60%

Known for their expertise in Swiss-style CNC machining, they are seeking an experienced Applications Engineer to support customer projects and technical training initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Management: Lead and manage turnkey projects and demonstrations to meet timeline and budget requirements.
• Pre-Sales Support: Perform customer visits, machine assessments, and develop turnkey proposals.
• Customer Training: Train customers in the safe setup and operation of CNC machining centers, lathes, grinders, and Swiss-style lathes.
• Engineering and On-Site Support: Provide on-site technical assistance, training, and engineering support for customers.
• Cost Analysis and Reporting: Create accurate cost estimates, engineering reports, and interpret technical plans and specifications.

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 5 years in Swiss CNC machine tool engineering or related manufacturing experience.
• Technical Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of Sliding Headstock (Swiss) CNC technology, Fanuc-based controls, and 5-axis machining (a plus).
• Software Skills: Familiarity with CAD/CAM software is preferred.
• Analytical Skills: Ability to assess situations quickly and make sound decisions.
