Job Title: Sustainable Finance Specialist
Job Description: We are looking for a dedicated and knowledgeable Sustainable Finance Specialist to join our team. As a Sustainable Finance Specialist, you will play a critical role in integrating environmental, social, and governance (ESG) factors into financial decision-making processes. Your expertise will help our organization align with sustainable development goals (SDGs), mitigate environmental risks, and promote responsible investing practices.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Conduct research and analysis on sustainable finance trends, regulations, and best practices.
- Develop and implement strategies for integrating ESG factors into investment analysis, portfolio management, and risk assessment.
- Evaluate the environmental and social impacts of investment decisions and financial products.
- Collaborate with investment teams, asset managers, and stakeholders to incorporate sustainable criteria into investment policies and strategies.
- Advise on the development of green bonds, social bonds, and other sustainable financial instruments.
- Monitor and report on the performance of sustainable investment portfolios, including ESG performance metrics and impact assessments.
- Engage with clients, investors, and industry stakeholders to promote awareness and adoption of sustainable finance principles.
- Stay updated with global sustainability standards, frameworks (e.g., PRI, SASB), and regulatory developments affecting sustainable finance.
Skills Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Environmental Science, Sustainability, or a related field. A Master's degree or certification in Sustainable Finance or ESG is preferred.
- Proven experience (X years) in sustainable finance, ESG analysis, or impact investing.
- Strong understanding of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) factors and their relevance to financial markets.
- Familiarity with sustainable investment strategies, green finance instruments, and impact measurement methodologies.
- Analytical skills to assess financial risks and opportunities related to ESG factors.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and build partnerships.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Commitment to ethical principles and sustainability principles.
