About the Job
Albany International Corp. is planning for the the sustainability and ‘ESG’ landscape continues to rapidly evolve and become increasingly more complex from a regulatory and reporting standpoint. Our firm has identified a need for a companywide Sustainability Regulatory Reporting Supervisor, who will work across our lines of business as well as with all internal and external stakeholders to drive end-to-end controls.
The Sustainability Regulatory Reporting Supervisor will partner with the Controllership and Sustainability team to be responsible for sustainability and ESG-related data management and internal and external regulatory reporting processes across the company, as well as providing leadership on sustainability reporting strategy.
The Sustainability Regulatory Reporting Supervisor at Albany International Corp. will be responsible for the following, including but not limited to:
* Partner with the Controllership and Sustainability team to support financial statements and reporting as relates to sustainability and ESG:
* Focus on non-financial accounting, data quality, regulations and reporting
* Focus on data management and compliance with CSRD, SEC, CA, ISSB and other frameworks and reporting requirements
* Support the centralized oversight function of the Controller-Sustainability partnership – “globally local” operating model where centralized oversight function drives value while facilitating locally supported compliance, resilience and risk management
* Support company compliance with the latest corporate and regulatory requirements, staying abreast of changes to the global regulatory environment
* Stay ahead of and help implement technology and reporting solutions that the company can leverage in order to further enhance our ESG reporting efforts and alignment to regulatory requirements
* Innovate new methods to ensure alignment to sustainability and ESG regulatory environment
* Partner with Internal Audit to implement and improve sustainability and ESG reporting internal control standards:
* Lead development of internal controls around sustainability and ESG data
* Support Albany International Corp.'s internal audits as well as external audit and review of all material within our sustainability and ESG disclosures and reports
* Support quality control of sustainability and ESG data to enhance reporting and disclosures
* Support process, governance and controls activities
* Collaborate cross-functionally with stakeholders from across the organization
* Report to Albany’s Sr. Manager, Sustainability & EHS
* Travel up to 20-30% required, potentially higher initially
Educational Background
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting or Finance and/or CPA preferred
* Background in SEC and financial reporting, ESG/non-financial reporting, reporting processes and internal controls
* Master's degree in accounting preferred
Preferred Qualifications
Candidates with experience in accounting, internal and external reporting, and sustainability/ESG will be prioritized and should embody the following qualifications:
* Detail-oriented with knowledge of sustainability and ESG regulatory disclosures and trends
* Interest in Albany International Corp.’s focus on innovation and sustainability
* Demonstrated attention to detail with strong Microsoft Office skills
* Self-starter who can work independently
* Takes ownership of work while also collaborating closely with stakeholders across the company
* Demonstrated ability to succeed under tight deadlines in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment
* Operate with a controls mindset, analyzing the rapidly evolving sustainability and ESG regulatory and reporting environment to drive results for Albany International Corp.
Technical skills required of the candidate include:
* Experience in SEC/financial reporting
* Experience in and knowledge of internal and external audit, accounting practices
* Experience with financial reporting technology solutions, operations and controls
* Project management skills
* Knowledge of sustainability and ESG regulatory reporting environment
Soft skills expected of the candidate include:
