Due to our continued growth, we are seeking a Survey Technician for our Mineola, LI office working on projects throughout the metropolitan area.
Responsibilities:- Prepare mapping using computer design and drafting survey software
- Prepare topographic, boundary, utility, as-built, ROW, and ALTA mapping
- Perform survey calculations, upload, download, and process field data
- Analyze and plot boundary maps and descriptions
- Perform record research for boundary and utility information
- Work with design teams meeting demanding schedule
- 3-5 years’ experience as a Survey Office Technician Preferred
- Associate degree or ability to attain one
- Proficient in the use of computer design and drafting survey software - ALTA/NSPS Land Title and Auto-CAD Civil 3D
- Experience in survey computations for land and construction surveys, skilled in Trimble, Carlson Field to Finish
- Experience with surveying and mapping for municipal, residential, and commercial projects including; topographic, boundary, utility, as-built, ROW, and ALTA as well as understanding boundary, deeds, maps and easements
- Ability to examine and interpret civil, architectural and structural drawing
- Strong communication skills
