Your responsibilities will include spending time both in the project office and in the field. You will conduct quality control and monitor progress. Responsibilities:
- Leading survey crew(s) performing topographic, construction staking, boundary surveys and control surveys using both conventional and GPS techniques
- Managing survey project and meeting project deadlines and budgets.
- Performing office calculations and support field survey crews for construction staking
- Providing analysis and final map checking and record drawings research
- Conducts QA/QC of engineering parcels and route survey plats
- Establishes and maintains quality control procedures on survey operations
- Verifies the accuracy of survey data, including measurements and calculations conducted at survey sites
What We're Looking For
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent, Associate's degree (preferred) or equivalent in land survey, design technology, engineering or a related field. A combination of education and experience is acceptable.
- 5+ years surveying experience
- Background in survey, right of way, site development, transportation, construction staking, construction experience, and/or other municipal operations
- AutoCAD Civil 3D
- MicroStation / Bentley OpenRoads or InRoads
- GPS
- LiDAR
- Microsoft Office products: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook
- Thorough understanding of codes, legal and design requirements in relevant jurisdictions
- Capable of solving complex problems using professional judgement, creativity, collaboration, and innovation
- Excellent time management skills
