Quincy Medical Group (QMG) is seeking a dedicated Surgical Technologist/Dental Assistant/Medical Assistant to join our Oral Surgery team. QMG, a respected multi-specialty group practice with over 155 physicians and providers, has served West Central Illinois, Southeast Iowa, and Northeast Missouri for more than 85 years. Responsibilities:As a key member of our Oral Surgery team, you will assist in a range of clinical tasks, including preparing and assisting with various surgical and dental procedures, performing dental radiographs, and maintaining a sterile field. In addition to clinical duties, you will manage some administrative tasks to ensure smooth communication and continuity of care for our patients. A strong focus on patient safety, comfort, and infection control is essential.
This is an hourly, non-exempt position. Normal work schedule is Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, 7:30 am/8:00 am - 5:00pm, or finish. Work location is Quincy, IL.
Qualifications:The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and skilled in dental and surgical procedures, with excellent communication skills for interacting with both patients and the surgical team. You will need the ability to accurately document patient information and work efficiently in a clinical setting.
- Education & Certifications: High school diploma or GED required. CPR certification required and available upon hire.
- Preferred Certifications: Dental X-ray certification or Dental Anesthesia Assistant National Certification (DAANCE) preferred; training will be provided if needed.
- Experience: One year of experience in a dental or healthcare environment preferred but not required.
