Job Description:
Functions under the supervision of an RN in providing technical interventions in the Operating Room to patients of all ages. They are also responsible for tasks relating to instrumentation, equipment, prosthesis, and supplies. May perform other duties as assigned by the department.
Education Qualifications:
East Market: Graduate of accredited Surgical Technologist program Brainerd Lakes: Graduate of accredited Surgical Technologist Program OR 6 years of experience as a Surgical Technologist with the demonstrated qualification to sit for certification exam. Virginia Location only: Graduate or Certification from accredited surgical technologist program or graduate of accredited practical nursing program West Market: Graduate of accredited Surgical Technologist program Fosston Location only: Graduate or Certification from accredited surgical technologist program, or graduate of accredited practical nursing program.

• National certification (NCCT) within 12 months of hire if hired following the completion of an approved Essentia Health apprenticeship program

East Brainerd Lakes:

• Certified as a Surgical Technologist within one year of hire or transfer
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) required or ability to obtain within 1 month of hire

The approximate base compensation range is posted, but the actual offer will reflect our total compensation and benefits package. The offer will be determined by a number of factors including the selected candidate’s experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, FTE, as well as internal equity among our team.
