Schedules: 4x10s and 3x12s available with time and a half over 8 hours shifts
Position overview: As a Surgical Technologist you would be working under the direct supervision of the perioperative nurse, performs the duties of a scrub person. You would also be responsible for preparing supplies for case, sets up and maintains the sterile field, passes instruments and supplies to the surgeon, readies used instruments for the cleaning and re-sterilization process. As a Surgical Tech you must be able to take call independently and can respond for all specialties except cardiac.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience as a surgical technologist in an acute multi-specialty environment, evidencing independent performance in a variety of surgical specialties
- Successful completion of accredited Surgical Technology training program, or equivalent as determined by Director of Perioperative Services.
- AHA-approved Basic Life Support (BLS)Preferred: Certification as a surgical technologist (CST or TS-C)
