APN Healthcare Solutions is urgently hiring multiple Sterile Processing Technicians for our client in Everett, WA for a 13 week contract with a high possibility of extension.
Position Title: Sterile Processing Tech (Travelers Only)
Pay Rate: $31-$33/hr Blended Pay
Work Location: Everett, WA
Shift : M-F 6am - 2:30pm
Hours/day: 8hrs
Contract Duration:13 weeks
License Requirement: SPT
Certification Requirement: BLS/CPR and CBSPD or IAHCSMM
Weekend REQ: Yes
Is on-call required? Yes twice per month; rotating weekends
Years of Experience Required: 2 yr experience required
Experience:
- Inpatient, outpatient, and trauma setting experience required.
- Sterilization, decontamination, assembly/wrap, case cart, HLD, and scrub experience required.
- Should have experience in surgery cases such as Ortho, Urology, Endo/Laparoscopic, Vascular, Thoracic, Neuro, Gyn, Bariatrics, Plastics, Podiarty, ENT, Transplant, Robotics, and Implants. Opthalmology preferred.

Overview:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Sterile Processing Technician (SPT) to join our healthcare team. The SPT plays a critical role in ensuring the safety and efficacy of medical procedures by meticulously sterilizing and preparing medical equipment, instruments, and supplies. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, supporting healthcare professionals and contributing to the delivery of high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Perform decontamination, cleaning, disinfection, and sterilization of medical instruments, equipment, and supplies using appropriate techniques and equipment.
- Inspect, assemble, and package sterilized instruments and equipment according to established protocols, ensuring completeness, functionality, and sterility.
- Operate and maintain sterilization equipment such as autoclaves, ultrasonic cleaners, and sterilization trays, following manufacturer's instructions and safety guidelines.
- Monitor and document sterilization cycles, including temperature, pressure, and exposure times, to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and infection control protocols.
- Assist in inventory management, including ordering, receiving, and storing supplies, as well as maintaining accurate records of stock levels and expiration dates.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers, surgical teams, and other personnel to meet the sterile processing needs of various departments and facilities.
- Participate in ongoing education and training programs to stay abreast of advances in sterile processing techniques, infection control practices, and regulatory requirements.
- Adhere to established policies and procedures, including safety protocols, quality assurance standards, and confidentiality guidelines, to promote a safe and efficient work environment.
- Respond promptly to requests for sterile instruments and supplies, prioritizing tasks based on urgency and patient care needs.
- Support continuous quality improvement initiatives by participating in process audits, performance evaluations, and corrective action plans as needed.
