SCOPE OF POSITION:
The role involves providing clinical education to enhance the professional development of staff in clinical areas, including orientation for new hires and ongoing training for current staff. The focus is on promoting safe care for surgical patients and ensuring patient safety within the perioperative service line. Responsibilities include conducting audits, collaborating with management and education teams, and reporting to the Director of Education.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Validate competencies and establish individualized goals for staff.

Coordinate experiential learning opportunities and facilitate ongoing staff development.

Participate in quality improvement activities and maintain policies.

Synthesize guidelines and evidence-based practices for perioperative services.

Collect and analyze outcome data to enhance nursing practice.

Promote professional growth through mentoring.

Perform additional duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

Licensed Registered Nurse in Connecticut.

MSN required; CNOR Certification needed within 12 months of hire.

Minimum five years of Operating Room experience; PACU experience preferred.

Teaching experience preferred; basic computer skills required.

Schedule: Part Time+, Days, 40HR Day Shift.
