Position Title: Surgical Services Materials Coordinator
Location: Saint Peter, MN
Base Pay: $27.43 - $41.86 / Hour
Description:
The Surgical Services Materials Coordinator works within the surgical services department and closely with Materials Management. This role will also work closely with providers and Surgical Services staff to ensuring all provider and departmental needs are met in a timely and accurate manner to support patient care and surgery schedule. Actively research needs, purchases, inventories, continuously monitors inventory counts and expiration dates of supplies in order to assure inventory is available when needed. Coordinate with Health Care Industry Representatives to ensure surgical instrument and equipment special requests are met. Work to standardize supply requisition and dispensing. The Surgical Services Materials Coordinator is responsible for the receipt, storage, and distribution of all materials delivered by Health Care Industry Representatives for the PAR Level Systems in the surgical services department store room, including the adjustment of stock levels. The Surgical Services Materials Coordinator is also responsible for maintaining the computer inventory control system, researching and correcting errors, and auditing inventory transactions. Enter implant and supply data into electronic surgical records for case-costing and billing needs. Maintain vendor contracts for surgical implants and supplies, ensuring vendor pricing is consistent with contracts. Learn and effectively support overall Surgical Services department and Materials Management tasks as needed.
Requirements:
- High school education with at least three years of materials management/surgical services or clinical supply experience and/or cost-accounting experience.
- Good communication skills - verbal and written.
- Demonstrates strong computer skills with accurate data entry– proficient in time management, strong organization skills.
- Prefer experience with Electronic Medical Record and/or inventory control software, Microsoft Office, and ability to learn differing company software as needed.
- Surgical Services or clinical experience preferred. T

Summary:
This is a full-time, on-site position.
Compensation details: 27.43-41.86 Hourly Wage
