PRIMARY PURPOSE

Responsible for posting, documenting, and scheduling of all assigned surgical procedures, according to established guidelines and policies.

MINIMUM SPECIFICATIONS

Experience:
-Must have five years of applicable experience in an Operative Suite environment.

Equivalent Experience:
-May have an equivalent combination of education and experience in lieu of specific experience as stated above.

Certification/Registration/Licensure:
-None.

Skills or Special Abilities:
-Must be able to demonstrate competency with medical terminology, case scheduling, coding, and billing practices.
-Must be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing with all levels of healthcare staff.
-Must be able to demonstrate knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and surgical procedure requirements.
-Must be able to demonstrate patient centered/patient valued care.
