Surgical Billing Specialist - Hybrid! - HumanHire

HumanHire has partnered with leading medical group on Long Island in search of a Medical Biller. You’ll be responsible for verifying insurance, updating patient information, analyzing reports for coding, and ensures timely claim submission.

What we offer:

• Position: Medical Biller
• Location: Mineola, NY - Hybrid!
• Pay: $30/hr
• Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9am-5pm

Responsibilities:

• Verify insurance for patient encounters and update patient demographics and insurance information in the system
• Track high-value or emergency claims and ensure timely submission of claims and billing reports
• Analyze reports for accurate coding and complete no-fault and workers' compensation forms
• Run daily charge entry reports to ensure accuracy

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in medical billing surgical & physician is highly preferred
• Knowledge of coding systems like ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS.
• Comfortable using medical software and electronic health records.
